China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) has launched a new patent search, see here.
The search system also offers machine translation: China Patent Machine Translation (CPMT).
“The system has more than 80 million abstracts of patent-related documents, and more than 70 million full-text documents and charts, collected from nearly 100 countries, regions and organizations.” Read the article about it in the China Daily here.
Good news if you want to see which patents are out there and what quality they have.
I guess this "Patent Search and Service System" (http://www.pss-system.gov.cn/sipopublicsearch/portal/indexAC.do) is the database announced in May.More info: http://www.epo.org/searching/asian/updates/20110824.html

Thanks for the advice.However, if I introduce "ES" in the field "Province/Country Code" I just get CN docs for which a ES priority is claimed (but no ES docs are recovered).

Dear Danny,I've tried the database linked (http://59.151.99.140/sipo_EN/search/tabSearch.do?method=init) and I only retrieve CN docs. Have a you got an example of a non-CN reference included in this database?Thanks.
